Just been e-abused by a person I did a free SEO review for. His point was I was being unethical because although his on site SEO is rubbish his site is still ranking top ten for ‘his chosen phrases’.
In essence I think he thought I was rubbishing his site in order to get some work from him. In actual fact his site is ranking well because it’s been around for 11 years and has a keyword rich domain name. It’s also linked from DMOZ etc.
None of this changes the fact that the on site SEO is rubbish. The site’s getting away with it and working for the business but it’s still rubbish.
