It is difficult to communicate to people who want SEO that if they have a new site that they are going to be up against sites that have many years head start on them and that by catching up with them you are expecting to be able to out-do what they have done or come naturally in a short period of time. They just want to hear, “Yes. We can get you on page one for all your keywords in 2 months for the low, low prices of £500.”

However, I believe that the people with these conceptions of how SEO should work on their site are often the worst clients and thus the best thing to do is not work with them.
